Step 3: Go Natural Baby!
Natural foods (read: real, unprocessed, unaltered, in its natural state) are recognized by the body and are much easier to digest. Unnatural foods (read: processed, packaged, preserved – look at this you tube video of a 4 year old hamburger, it’s c.r.a.z.y!!) are incredibly hard to digest and are not recognized or utilized by the body, thus turning into indigestible waste which will actually contribute to the slowing of your metabolism, degeneration of your organs, weight gain, and premature aging, uh, no thanks! The body, in it’s infinite wisdom, stores these waste products in fat cells as far away from the vital organs as possible (think love handles, jiggly arms, saddle bags, cellulite, double chin, etc).
If it has refined flour, sugar, heated oils, or chemicals/preservatives in it, it is not fit for human consumption.
I know it can seem overwhelming at first but ultimately this information should feel EMPOWERING! It means that now you have the knowledge to make an informed decision and never fall prey to misleading labels and advertising again! The most healthful foods for the body are WHOLE FOODS in their natural state. Natural foods (like unprocessed fruit, veggies, whole grains, and organic meat & dairy) pass through the body quickly, leaving the least amount of residue that can be turned into waste matter. Remember Waste = Weight (…and wrinkles, cellulite, decreased energy, brain fog, and a host of chronic health issues)!
One of my mentors always said ‘Processed foods including white flour & white sugar are make-believe foods. If we eat make-believe foods, all we are going to have is make-believe health.’ Eliminate the toxic, processed, health deteriorating non-foods from your diet and instead focus on fresh, life-generating foods in their natural state and watch your life, your body, and your mind transform into something truly beautiful. You go girl!!
